Betty + Josh + Laughter + Love

Sometimes when you meet for a photo session, everything works.  The light is beautiful, the client is comfortable, your mind is full of ideas, the weather’s great, the location is magical… and your clients are totally and completely in love.  It’s the last thing that really makes an incredible photo shoot – the love and inner beauty your clients bring with them.  When I met Betty and Josh, I KNEW we were gonna have a phenomenal day together!  …and we totally did!  From driving all over Foxhall Sporting Club, to tromping through a CRAZY field and facing a fear of snake bites (and Betty did it in heels – I was super impressed), to sharing my earrings because I love dangly earrings and always have some around somewhere, to chasing the last patches sunlight and hurrying to catch them before the sun went below the horizon, to playing with a water hose by the horse stables in the dark…  it was FANTASTIC!!!  It’s exactly what I love to do!

About Betty + Josh…  First of all, I nominate them for the ‘most beautiful couple’ award!  But even more than being completely lovely and romantic and all that… you can tell, immediately, that they’re best friends.  They would rather laugh and cry and play with each other more than any other person on the planet.  I LOVE couples who are in love.  I LOVE being able to peek into their world and capture a bit of that magic for them to see from the outside.  I LOVE getting to watch the light in their eyes as they laugh at AND with each other, as they run and play, as they kiss and share a secret moment.  I LOVE the anticipation of an upcoming wedding… two lives joined as one life together for the rest of their days… the nervousness, the excitement, the giddiness, the complete and utter joy!  And I consider it an absolute honor and pleasure to be invited to peek into this world and come away with beautiful treasures and memories for this sweet and silly and funny and beautiful and special couple to enjoy.  I hope you enjoy them, too!
