Baby Sadie

I am so happy to have met this family!  April contacted me for 1 month portraits of her sweet baby girl, Sadie.  They were scheduled to do newborn portraits with another local photographer (the amazingly talented Kim Rahn of Kim Rahn Photography – click on her name to go enjoy her gorgeous work!), but because Sadie got sick they weren’t able to do it at the time.  Because of scheduling conflicts, a makeup session wasn’t possible, and so Kim very graciously sent April my way.  And boy am I happy she did!  Thank you, Kim!!!

Sadie is a gorgeous baby!  She’s a chunk with dimpled elbows and rolls on her thighs and big bright eyes!  I’ll be honest – doing photos at 1 mo. can be tricky.  The babies aren’t able to “do” anything, but they also aren’t pliable and insanely sleepily like early newborns.  But we made it work with a little patience and lots of laughing and little Sadie just did her gorgeous thing.
