Garden Tea Party

This session was very special to me.  First of all, this family… I consider them MY family.  They have been God’s kind gift to me for many years and I love them dearly.  And this session was beautiful because it was all about a mom celebrating her love for her daughters, and the girls gaining memories to keep for a lifetime.  Because these are my personal friends, I’ll share a little more of my heart…  My mom just recently moved on to her eternal Home with the Lord.  It’s been heartbreaking for me.  More difficult than I could have ever imagined.  And she was my greatest supporter of this thing I do with my camera.  So, this session, which explores and celebrates what it means to be a mom and to love one’s daughters… these incredible and magical memories Sharman has created for her girls to cherish for a lifetime…  this is a gift to me.  This moves me.  This blesses my heart in more ways than I can express, and I’m truly honored to have been asked to take part.

I took these photos this past Summer, and the vibrant green and glorious flowers were a perfect backdrop for this magic tea party and gorgeous adventure.  And the love these girls all show for one another – it’s stunning.  Their laughter, their imagination, their transparency and affection…  it’s something that truly touched my soul.  And Sharman put so much thought into this.  She brought the tea party set her daughters love to play with, and their special story books, and flowers, and gloves…  And the girls – they completely forgot I was there.  They embraced the joy of the moment and let their imaginations dance and play.  They were little girls, completely and unashamed.  This was as every photo session should be.  I hope these photos touch you in even the smallest way they have blessed me.
