Haley + Anthony

I got to meet Haley and Anthony several months ago when I was asked to take their engagement photos.  Oh. My. Goodness.  They are just too cute for words!  We had so much fun together… I loved seeing their complete delight in one another.  And then came their wedding day!!!  You know, a girl plans and plans for everything… and then sometimes it rains.  But that didn’t dampen anyone’s smiles and utter joy in the celebration!  I loved watching how Anthony and Haley complemented one another so perfectly, even in this… his calm to her excitement.  Gorgeous!  When you’re a photographer, you see so much, and yet you have to find a way to make your camera capture it – not just the faces and smiles, but the feeling and movement and ‘relationship’ of the moment… plus you have to think of lighting and the fact that it’s raining, so you hunt for good window light and change your plans on your feet to showcase that moment that’s before you ‘right now.’  I wanted to show that on this day… Anthony and Haley, and how well they fit.

Haley is sentimental and yet utterly practical.  She loves Disney, and she loves her mom.  I love what a dress tells about a bride, and Haley’s dress… well, it was her mom’s before her… and that was beautiful to me.  And her matron of honor?  Yep, that was her mom, too.  And Anthony’s groomsmen?  His brothers.  This celebration was all about ‘family’ – leaving and cleaving, but also the intertwining of deep roots found in strong family bonds.  This is how marriage shines brightest.

I hope these photos of this incredibly special day bless you even half as much as knowing Haley and Anthony has blessed me.

I want to give a huge ‘thank you’ to the very talented Karee Bradbury of Alight Photography for her help in shooting this wedding.  Karee is a complete sweetheart and an absolute joy to know!  She makes me laugh when I’m working and getting way too serious, she never says ‘no,’ and encouragement flows continually out of her heart while she works.  I just love her!  And Helayna Wicker, the very best high school helper I know!!!  Thank you, sweet friends!
