Hart Family Love

Okay, sometimes I meet a family and fall head over heels in love with them from ‘hello.’  Usually it’s because they have freckles.  Or red hair.  Or have a quirky or fun sense of style.  Or have hearts that are huge – like whole-world huge.  Or any number of things.  Well, this family has ALL of the above!!!  Imagine my excitement!!!  Well, in all fairness, I loved them before I even met them because one of my nearest and dearest friends told me that they were who first told her about her sweet little daughter who she adopted from China.  Apparently they had met her on one of their trips over and KNEW she was a fantastic fit for my friend’s family.  That made me love the Hart family from the start.  Then I met them.  Red hair!  Freckles!!!  Beautiful adopted children with dark chocolate almond eyes and gorgeous skin!!!  Fun clothes!!!  And huge hearts – like whole-world huge!  Yep, I was a goner.  Maybe that explains why I chose to take so ridiculously many photos.  I don’t usually do this and I certainly don’t usually edit this many, but man, I was just in love.

This was a session for the whole family, but the primary focus was for little Joseph.  He was adopted from China a few months before and hadn’t yet had any photos taken – what a privilege to be asked to do this!  He is absolutely precious!!!  Our session started with some family shots and then moved on to primarily Joseph – playing, exploring, being Joseph.  And the light at the end of the session… Oh, I get all gooey inside when I see warm, golden, dripping like honey sunset light.  It’s my favorite.  It’s my passion to capture a family with gold behind them.  And capturing little Joe like this – ::sigh:: – this is why I do what I do.  Enjoy these photos from start to finish – they’re a joy and blessing to me and I hope they are to you as well!
