Mana in our Foods

I am so honored to have been asked by Alyssa DuVall to join her in creating advertising images for her phenomenal company called Mana in our Foods.  Here’s a little blurb that describes what Mana is all about:

“Mana produces locally made, mostly vegan, whole food products from organic ingredients. Together with a complement of seasonal vegetables or fruit, our meals offer a complete protein and a complete meal for a family of four. Our personal essence, spirit, or Hawaiian “mana” must be a part of our food: how we grow, make, cook, and eat it. This spirit encourages imagination and individuality as vital components to good eating.”

Mana is a phenomenal product (after all, if I’m gonna photograph it, I’ve gotta try it, right?!)!  I love it so much that I gave Mana gift baskets to everyone in my family for Christmas this year.  And its creator, Alyssa, is an incredible home chef, lovely person inside and out, and she has one of the most generous and creative spirits of anyone I know.  Not only has she created a healthy, genuinely helpful, delicious and beautiful product, but she’s put together a wonderful team to help distribute her little jars of wonderfulness to people all over the Athens and Atlanta area (and more?).

What I haven’t yet disclosed to you is… Alyssa’s also my best friend.  🙂  And when I was in the hospital and on bed rest while expecting my 2nd son, she would come to the hospital and wash my hair and spend the night with me to protect me from the scary night nurses.  I mean, really…  how much more amazing can a person be?  But her products speak for themselves and I highly recommend them.  I’m posting just a few photos to give a glimpse of the wonderful goodness you can expect with Mana in our Foods.  To find out more and try it for yourself, please check out their website: mana-foods.com. Bon Appetit!  🙂
