Melody

I’m currently taking two photography classes to help challenge and strengthen me as an artist… and I’m LOVING every minute!  For this assignment, I needed to find a person to photograph who wouldn’t normally be like, “Hey!  I LOVE getting my picture taken!  Take as many as you want because I feel SOOO great in front of a camera!”  I needed someone who normally would shy away from something like that.  I thought… “Man, I wish I could photograph myself!  I hate being in front of the camera!”  But, as that wouldn’t work I looked around at different friends and thought of their personalities…  Enter Melody.  Melody is my sister-in-law’s best friend.  I’ve known her forever – she’s sweet and gracious and soft-spoken and gentle and a servant.  She’s a wife and a mom and her whole life is about loving on and serving her family.  I thought, “If I could get Melody to pose for me, I could give her something special she’d NEVER in bazillion years do for herself.”  Plus I knew that Melody’s so nice she’d never say no.  🙂  Here are some of the results.  I can’t even say how happy I am!  When I look at Melody, this is exactly what I see and I was ecstatic that I was able to make my camera capture that.  When I posted the photos for my class my teacher said, “I think she must be like this…” and she described Melody perfectly.  That means I did my job.  ::YES!!::  Enjoy these photos of the lovely Melody…  they’re some of my recent favorites!
